Imagine trying to get you and your three children into a battered women’s shelter everyday, only to be told that they have no room for you. Can’t try a regular homeless shelter because they won’t take you if you are a domestic abuse survivor. This is what has been happening to Mama K everyday of her ordeal. An official from San Francisco’s Department of Human Services has offered to help Mama K with obtaining safe housing for her and her three kids. Send him an email (deleted) and let him know that you watched the segment. Tell him you are concerned for Mama K’s family and also for all of the other homeless families in San Francisco.
