Community taking care of community: That’s what CBS News Bay Area put on the air this past week.
They’ve named our founder and executive director, Lisa Truong, a CBS News Bay Area ICON Award recipient for outstanding community service, and produced a wonderful story about the work we do together: making sure no parent in the Bay Area has to face an empty diaper drawer alone.
This recognition reflects our whole community, including the families who trust us, partners like Brighter Beginnings, and the staff, board, donors, and volunteers who make this work possible. Our thanks to CBS News Bay Area and Sharon Chin for shining a light on diaper need and the families at the heart of it.
An award doesn’t fill a single diaper drawer, though. That’s what our community does. If Lisa’s story moved you, you can be part of what comes next. Every gift keeps clean diapers reaching some of the 7,500 Bay Area babies we serve each month, and helps parents breathe a little easier. Join the community taking care of community.
